Yoga Philosophy

I believe that one of the best gifts of all is to have the ability to love unconditionally and to nurture compassion for others. People go through tough times and learn to develop coping skills but we are simply human and it is impossible to stay on top of things all the time and some events in our lives tend to hit us harder that we can endure. A good person, you yourself can help people in many ways. Teaching and practicing yoga is rewarding, it gives us the opportunity to build and expand a supportive community. Together let’s rediscover love, compassion, strength, and happiness.

Prana Flow is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana – the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence – as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya’s teachings, Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, Somatics and Shiva’s teaching experience from the last fifteen years.

Enjoy our open level 1-2 VinyasaFlow Yoga class/session Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM. Level 1-2 is good for all levels, level 2 will challenge the more experienced participants.

A well balanced yoga session to the sound of the breath and music that will make you groove. The word ‘vinyasa’ is derived from the Sanskrit term nyasa, which means ‘to place’ and the prefix ‘vi’, means ‘in a special way’. Vinyasa is a flowing sequence of specific asanas (yoga postures) coordinated with the movements of the breath. Vinyasa yoga requires that we cultivate an awareness that links each action to the next – one breath at a time.
